"I love Mernel's Cake Shop because not only that they offer the best chocolate cake in Laguna and very affordable when it comes to their pricing, the manager and staff of their branch in SM City Calamba are all very approachable and accomodating even the main branch replies with my inquiry. Since they are not yet allowed to do a character cake, what they did was accomodate my request to make my birthday cake follow the colors that a classic Hello Kitty has and I just did was to decorate my cake with the character that I love . Just to share that my two layered cake (10" bottom & 6" top) are all edible chocolate chiffon cake and they put the yema filling (instead of their usual chocolate filling) inside the bottom layer as I wished. They just asked an additional ₱140.00 pesos for the yema filling. The total price of my birthday cake was ₱1,840.00 for a two layered chocolate chiffon cake. You may think that it tastes so sweet because of the whipping cream and the filling but guess what? It's not as sweet as the other branded cakes we usually buy. I highly recommend for you to try their cakes, you will never regret it! Thank you so much Mernel's Cake Shop! You've made my birthday a very memorable one!"

"I kinda loved their cake. I guess I may be biased to cakes tho but what I loved about their cakes are: 1. It was moist. Unlike the common branded cakes (cannot say the bakeshop's name to avoid any unnecessary judgment), their cakes are moist in the inside. 2. Budget. Of course, they are a bit cheaper than the flagships but the quality is definitely at par. 3. The Icing was kinda sweet. This may be a con for most of the people, but a sweet tooth like me really love this characteristic. 4. Packaging is harder. Unlike the flagship cakes, they pack their cakes on boxed that does not easily deflates due to heavy load on top. Overall, I loved theit cakes. *Note: Some of their cakes are a bit pricier than the flagship ones, but most of it are cheaper. Besides, they have unique cake designs!! *Note 2: We ordered "medium heart cake". This is for 220 pesos."
